The Oman Inclusion Conference

About OIC

The inaugural Oman Inclusion Conference, held in February 2025, marked a significant milestone in the growing movement towards bettering inclusive education across the Sultanate of Oman. Jointly spearheaded by Al-Jisr Foundation and Inspire Educational Consultancy, the two-day event was hosted by The Sultan’s School, and featured renowned keynote speaker Daniel Sobel of the International Forum of Inclusion Practitioners. The event brought together a cross-section of 54 organizations, and a rich diversity of participants – including educators, policy makers, healthcare professionals, consultants, advocates and parents – united by a collective vision of cultivating equitable and supportive learning environments for all.

Building on the success of the inaugural event, the second conference will be graciously hosted by ABA Oman International School on Saturday January 24th 2026, and whose support underscores a shared dedication to fostering inclusive educational communities. The Oman Inclusion Conference 2026 will continue to strive to cultivate strong networks of collaboration and community, provide attendees with actionable strategies, professional development, and meaningful opportunities to network and exchange knowledge. Having heard previous participant feedback, this second event will seek to provide tracks of workshops for attendees to select from. And, as before, provide simultaneous translation throughout the sessions in the interest of accessibility for both English and Arabic speakers.

The Oman Inclusion Conference aims to empower all participants – whether educators, parents or practitioners – with the tools and confidence to maximise their child or student’s educational journey. Specifically, the organisers seek to:

  • Advance Inclusive Practice Through Collaboration and Capacity Building – Support the ongoing improvement of educational quality and student support services through innovation, capacity building, and collaboration.
  • Champion Inclusive Education Excellence – Showcase impactful, evidence-based practices and explore pathways to strengthen inclusive education across Oman.
  • Empower Educators, Practitioners, and Parents – Provide practical tools and insights that help educators and practitioners foster inclusive classrooms, while building parents’ awareness to better support their children’s learning.
  • Foster Collaboration and Professional Growth – Create meaningful opportunities for dialogue, professional development, and knowledge exchange among all those driving inclusion forward.
