PAST CONFERENCES
The OIC Story
What began as an idea to create a space for meaningful conversations about inclusion has grown into an annual gathering of educators, specialists, school leaders, families and communities from across Oman and beyond.
Learning. Connecting. Belonging.
– YEAR AFTER YEAR
OUR JOURNEY
A shared vision for a more inclusive Oman
The Oman Inclusion Conference began with a simple idea: to create a space in Oman where people who care about inclusion could come together to learn from one another, share experiences and build meaningful connections.
The first OIC was held in 2025, born from the vision of Inspire Educational Consultancy and brought to life with the support of Al Jisr Foundation. From the outset, the aim was to bring together not only educators and specialists, but also families, leaders, policymakers and others with a role to play in building more inclusive schools and communities.
What began as a two-day conference has continued to grow and evolve in response to the community it serves. OIC is run on a not-for-profit basis, with conference income directed back into the delivery and continued development of the event. This model helps us keep the focus where it belongs: creating meaningful opportunities for learning, connection and collaboration, and making those opportunities accessible to as many people as possible.
At its heart, however, OIC remains what it was created to be: a place to learn, connect, collaborate and strengthen inclusive practice together.

OIC 2026
24 January 2026 | ABA Oman International School
OIC 2026 brought together 213 educators, leaders, specialists, parents and organisations from across Oman and beyond for a dynamic day of learning, connection and collaboration. Building on feedback from the first conference, this year’s programme expanded workshop choice, introduced an Exhibitor Zone and Conference App, and grew Arabic translation services to 15 of the 18 workshops, in addition to keynote sessions. We were also proud to welcome the Ministry of Education through a dedicated workshop, strengthening national collaboration for inclusive education.
Having moved from a two-day format in 2025 to a focused one-day event in 2026, OIC continued to provide practical strategies, fresh perspectives and meaningful connections — all with a shared commitment to a more inclusive Oman.
