Nadia sultan

BSc, MBPsS, MSc (Ed.Psych), NFTD

Prior to leading ‘Inspire’, Oman’s first EP consultation service, Nadia worked in the Educational Psychology Consultation Service in Kensington and Chelsea, in London for over a decade. Shedelivered a consultation service to both primary and secondary schools in addition to early years establishmentsandfamily consultations for pre-school children. Nadia further managed the area’s Portage Service(a home learning service for very young children with a diverse range of complex needs) and was the lead EP for children Under the age of 5 for that area for several years, acting as the main link between health and education services for that service within the local authority.

Her role as an Educational Psychologist within Kensington and Chelseaenhanced her skills in using the consultation model, boosting her proficiency in the use and development of consultation frameworks. She worked as part of a team to develop and deliver professional training to teachers, covering topics such as ‘Autism Awareness’, ‘Dyslexia Friendly Classrooms’,‘Separation and Divorce: What Schools Can Do to Help’ and ‘Supporting the Needs of Children with Down Syndrome’.
